This year's Met Gala featured some stunning looks inspired by Karl Lagerfeld. Here are just a few of our personal favorites.

Baz Luhrmann, acclaimed director known for his works of The Great Gatsby and new film Elvis, walked the carpet wearing a Thom Browne suit. With contrast piping and thoughtful layering, he and his wife were perfectly on theme while flashing their fun personalities.

Another director, Taika Waititi, wore a stunning Atelier Prabal Gurung suit. With a white straight leg trouser peaking through his ankle length coat, he worked the carpet like he owned it. The deep black lapel and accessories featuring draped pearls was the perfect touch for a suave look.

Bode styled Russel Westbrook, NBA player for the LA Clippers. He featured a Chanel inspired cream coat with tasteful black contrast creating a elegant look with the trousers complimenting with a royal feel. Considering his height, they fit him perfectly and the shoe choice tied in the entire look.

Young musician Conan Gray rocked the carpet in Balmain. Very on theme while incorporating his personal flair. The entire look is beautifully embellished, and well accessorized. Bold, but far from overwhelming and true piece of art as the entire outfit caught the light. He truly looked amazing.

Bella Ramsey was invited to her first Met Gala and did not disappoint. It was apparent that Thom Browne understood the assignment as the designer styled her in a skirted tuxedo. Adorned with pearls, Bella’s Lagerfeld inspired look definitely caught our attention with the attention to detail seen in the intricate beadwork.
